knownorwegian:

Arve Moen Bergset is a Norwegian folk singer(and hardangerfiddler) who has a lot of nice folk songs in Norwegian. I posted one of his songs earlier.

Also mention-worthy is the band Vamp. Their most well-known song, Tir N’a Noir, seems very dear to many Norwegians.

Mind you the artists mentioned above as well as most Norwegian folk songs seem to be sung in nynorsk-ish dialects. This may be a bit confusing assuming you’re a foreigner trying to learn the Oslo/Bokmål-dialect.

I would also recommend you listen to some of the Norwegian-translated Disney songs! The Norwegian version of Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas is one of my favourites(youtube link). It’s sung in the standard oslo/bokmål-ish dialect, and just so remarkably beautiful in my opinion.

For my followers; please reply to this post with more suggestions for this anon if you have any. :]
